I am a photographer drawn to capturing moody, serene moments across a variety of scenes, from old buildings and lighthouses to nature and abstract compositions. My photographs go beyond simple snapshots; they are carefully crafted canvases enhanced through post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop. I am particularly fascinated by subjects with weathered textures or a haunting allure, such as abandoned sites and timeless lighthouses, while also enjoying the serendipitous moments found in nature and wildlife photography.
I continuously explore the intersection of classic and experimental techniques, using various filters for long exposures and mastering the art of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) photography. I spend time seeking ways to expand my creative horizons, always aiming to establish an emotional connection through elements like dark skies and heavy clouds. Recently, I have become deeply involved in photo encaustic art, appreciating how the texture of beeswax and damar resin, combined with pigments, pastels, and oils, adds depth and emotional impact to my images. I am eager to continue developing this fusion of photography and encaustic painting as a new path for creative expression.
